Hanoi – Mu Cang Chai – La Pan Tan - Hanoi
Night 1: Hanoi – Mu Cang Chai
6 pm: A sleeping bus from Gia Lam bus station, Long Bien, Hanoi to Mu Cang Chai district.
Day 1: La Pan Tan – Hang Cua Dua – Trong Sua – Na Hang A, B – Pung Luong – La Pan Tan (B, L, D) – 19km
You will start trekking from La Pan Tan village to Trong Sua village at 8am. On the way, you will see the big picture square of rice terraced field as well as witness the daily life of local people in the mountainous area. Different seasons will provide you different things to enjoy. If you come in the harvest season from August to October, you will see the terraced rice field with yellow color everywhere. From November to March, you will see the cabbage’s followers on the field. The rest of time will let you see the real terraced field with brown color.
After about 3 hours trekking, you will have a picnic lunch and take a rest in the nature. In the afternoon, you will continue the trek to Na Hang A & B. Your route will go through the Pine tree forest, waterfall and reach to Pung Luong – the home of Flower Hmong in the late afteroon. A car is waiting for you there to pick up and transfer back to the homestay in La Pan Ta village.
Day 2: La Pan Tan – Pung Luong – Nam Khat – Sua Long – Lang Sang – Muong Chien – Ban Luot – Hang Co Bua – Na Tang Hau – Mi Tang Hau – La Pan Tan by motorbike (B,L,D) – 90km
Your motorbike tour will start at 8:30am from homestay to Nam Khat village. On the way, you will have a chance to enjoy the view of forest, rice terraced field, mountains and valleys, the villages of ethnic minority people who are living along the rivers or mountain slope, etc. Stop in Nam Khat village to take some pictures of rice paddy and Ethnic groups such as: Hmong Lenh, Hmong Du and Hmong Si.
Continue driving for 8 kms more to visit Xua Long village where you will the ancient tomb of Hmong King. Tour guide will tell you some legend stories about him. Then you will drive back to Nam Khat market where you can take a walk to see how the Hmong Si, Hmong Lenh, Mong Du, etc to exchange the goods and culture. You can try some local food here as well.
The drive on the curvy road will take you to visit the Muong Chien and Luot villages of Mong and Thai people. Then it is the time for you to enjoy the hot spring in the nature area. Lunch will be served at a restaurant near there.
After lunch, you will drive one round to visit Luot village of Thai people. You will see how differences between Thai and Hmong people in building house, culture and costume. Then you will drive along the No 32 road via Hang Co Bua, Na Hang Tau, Mi Hang Tau villages to enjoy the views of pine tree forests, springs, th local people work on field, etc and finish the tour at the homestat in La Pan Tan village.
Night 3: Mu Cang Chai – Hanoi
Enjoy the dinner at homestay then say goodbye to the host. Now you will go to Nga Ba Kim to get the night bus to Hanoi which will depart at 9pm.
You will arrive in My Dinh bus station in Hanoi at around 5am. Finish the tour.
