Description
This two-day trekking adventure takes you away from the usual tourist trails into villages of the Red Dao, Black Hmong, and Blue Hmong communities. Trek through forests, rice terraces, and mountain landscapes, visit a local salmon farm, and stay overnight in a traditional Red Dao home, where you can take part in cooking and experience daily life firsthand.

Your guide will pick you up at your hotel in the centre of Sapa or at our office at 9 am.
Day 1: Sapa - Ta Phin - Phin Ho - Lu Khau - Suoi Thau - 15 km
Depart from Sapa and drive to Ta Phin, home to the Red Dao and Black Hmong.
Trek approximately 2.5 hours through mountains, forests, and rice terraces to Phin Ho village, where you’ll have lunch with a local family.
Then you continue the trek to Lu Khau village, where you will meet the Red Dao and Blue Hmong.
You will visit a salmon farm before trekking to Suoi Thau village where you will stay in a traditional homestay for the night.
Join your hosts in cooking and enjoy a traditional meal.
Day 2: Suoi Thau - Gia Thau - Kim Ngan - Ta Giang Phinh - Sapa - 12 km
Have a local breakfast at your homestay before exploring the village.
Trek through rice terraces before reaching Kim Ngan village
Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch with a local family
Continue the trek through the mountains until you arrive at Ta Giang Phinh village, where you will visit a Blue Hmong home and learn about their traditions
A car will take you back to Sapa, and you will stop for photos at the Cold Waterfall and Mount Fansipan Cable Car station

Day 1: Sapa – Suoi Ho – Matra – Ta Phin (14 km)
Start with a short trek to Suoi Ho village, home of the Hmong people, and enjoy the views of rice terraces.
Pass through Matra village, where you’ll visit the ruins of a historic nunnery from the French colonial era.
Continue towards Ta Phin village, where you’ll stop for a scenic lunch
In Ta Phin, your Red Dao host will welcome you for the night, offering a delicious home-cooked meal and the chance to relax in a traditional herbal bath before bed.
Day 2: Ta Phin – Hamlet- Cooking Class – Sapa (~7 km trek)
Wake up and enjoy breakfast in the homestay.
After breakfast, trek to a small hamlet in Ta Phin village, home to Red Dao, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes.
A cooking class will be organized at the tour guide’s homes before returning to Sapa town by car.

Day 1: Sapa – Ban Khoang – Suoi Thau – Sin Chai (12-15 km)
Start your adventure with a car ride to Ban Khoang village, home to the Red Dao people
Walk along scenic trails through rice terraces, vegetables patches and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
Stop for a picnic lunch at the foot of Ngu Chi Son mountain, also known as Buddha’s Hand Mountain. If the weather is rainy, lunch will be served in a local house.
Continue trekking to Sin Chai village, where a Black Hmong homestay awaits. Here you can relax overlooking the river, and take a swim if the weather is good.
Enjoy a home-cooked dinner with your hosts.
Day 2: Sin Chai – Nam Pung – Sapa (10 km trek)
Enjoy breakfast before exploring the Sin Chai village. You can learn about the differences between the Red Dao and Black Hmong cultures.
Continue your trek through beautiful rice terraces to Nam Pung village, home to the Ha Nhi people—one of Vietnam’s smallest ethnic groups.
See the traditional Ha Nhi clay houses, Trinh Tuong houses, which resemble giant mushrooms nestled in the mountains. Learn more about their culture; their intricate embroidery, their unique indigo headscarves, which signify a woman’s marital statues, and much more.
Enjoy lunch at a local home before returning to Sapa by car, marking the end of your unforgettable journey.

Walk towards Y Linh Ho, a traditional Hmong village. You’ll be surrounded by 100-year old terraces.
On your way to Lao Chai, you’ll enjoy a lunch and the beautiful scenery.
In Lao Chai you’ll be welcomed by Mai and her family. They run the first Hmong-owned homestay in Sapa

Day 2 - Lao Chai - Ta Van - Giang Ta Chai - 12 km
Enjoy panoramic views of the rice terraces and enjoy breakfast
Trek to Ta Van, home to the Giay minority. Learn about their fishing traditions
