Embark on a four-day adventure through the stunning northern landscapes of Sapa, where you'll trek through terraced rice fields, hidden valleys, and remote ethnic villages. Meet the welcoming Red Dao, Hmong, and Ha Nhi communities, experience their unique traditions, and stay in authentic homestays. From relaxing herbal baths to learning about their customs and culture, this journey offers an immersive cultural and natural experience unlike any other.

    • Trek through spectacular rice terraces and breathtaking mountain landscapes. Explore the customs, see their beautiful clothing and experience daily life in the ethnic communities of Northern Vietnam

    • Meet and stay with Red Dao, Hmong, and Ha Nhi families in their traditional homes

    • Experience a herbal bath, a Red Dao wellness tradition

  • Your guide will pick you up at your hotel in the centre of Sapa or at our office at 9 am.

    Day 1: Sapa – Ma Tra – Ta Phin (14km)

    • Walk out of Sapa town to experience lush countryside and scenic rice terraces.

    • Visit Ma Tra and Ta Phin villages, home to the Hmong and Red Dao people. Learn about their traditions and craftsmanship before arriving at a Red Dao homestay for the night.

    • Relax by the fire, enjoy a homecooked dinner

    • Try a traditional herbal bath before resting in the peaceful mountain surroundings.

    Day 2: Ta Phin – Phin Ho – Lu Khau – Suoi Thau (17km)

    • Enjoy a local breakfast before you get ready for the next part of the trek

    • Trek uphill through mountain paths, dense forests, and terraced fields, until you reach Phin Ho village where you will enjoy a local lunch with panoramic views of the valley

    • Continue to Lu Khau village, where you will meet both Red Dao and Blue Hmong. You will also see a salmon farm on the way

    • When you reach Suoi Thau village you will be greeted by your host at the homestay. Here you can cook dinner together with your host, and enjoy eating the tasty food afterwards

    Day 3: Suoi Thau – Gia Thau – Kim Ngan – Ta Giang Phinh - Sin Chai (12km)

    • After breakfast you will trek through rice fields to Gia Thau and Kim Ngan villages, stopping for a scenic picnic lunch with a local family.

    • Follow a forest path towards Ta Giang Phinh village, where you’ll see rice fields and Buddha’s Hand mountain on the way

    • In the village you’ll stay with a Blue Hmong family. Spend the evening learning more about their customs and traditions, and share a delicious dinner with your hosts

    Day 4: Sin Chai – Nam Pung – Bat Xat – Sapa (12km)

    • After breakfast explore the local village, before you continue the trek towards Nam Pung, which is the home of the Ha Nhi people, one of Vietnam’s smallest ethnic groups

    • Discover their unique clay-walled houses, built to keep cool in summer and warm in winter.

    • Enjoy a local lunch before taking a car back to Sapa town, marking the end of your unforgettable, unique adventure.
